Japanese input?

I notice in the settings, under keyboard/input I can turn on Korean and Chinese keyboards. But I don't see an option for a Japanese keyboard. Can this be added from somewhere?

I think I found the right one - Google Japanese Input in Google Play.

It seems to work just fine. But it's cumbersome switching between Japanese and English input. On the iPhone or iPad there is a little "globe" mark to the left of the space key for easy switching. On the Nexus 7 it seems you have to hold something down until a popup appears and then switch methods from that. Is there an easier way?

One more thing - is there no voice dictation in Japanese like there is in English?
