Do you mean AKG? The Note 8 ships with AKG earphones. Although both AKG and JBL are part of the same company anyway.

Maybe I should try them again. I want impressed the first time.

My Note 8 shipped with some really bad headphones "tuned" by AKG.
Binned them.

I gave mine to my kids. Wasn't thrilled about them - I think they were by AKG. Once I got used to the bluetooth style ones, I haven't gone back to wired. have a new Dre Beats Solo3 Over-ear headphones and love them. They really separate you from the environment so you can hear the music really well.

My daughter wouldn't take them because "they are not white" . Kids, eh.

Lolol. How old is she. My youngest is 16 now - she's got an Iphone 7Plus and a few wired pairs - doesn't seem to picky about the earbuds but she does like the iphones.

Ha. She is 11. Has an iPhone 6s 64gb. One of only 2 Apple products in my house ( the other being a MacBook for d1cking about with for work ) .
She has a new Chromebook for doing work on, loves it.

Kids buy into the apple hype to the fullest! My daughter is 14 and begged me for an iPhone for years and she finally got one last year. She swears by it despite complaining about some problem with the phone every couple of weeks. It's mainly because it's the "cool" device for teens.

I tried my wife's akg buds from her s8 plus and wasn't that impressed. Once I got my note 8 I never even unpacked the buds. They're still in the box with the Sim tool.

Rated on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give them a 5. I much prefer my Sennheiser in ear buds.

Most of the complaints against AKG are lack of bass, and well technically it's not a valid one. AKG tuning doesnt 'lack' bass. It lacks 'bass boosting'. AKG are known for creating award winning reference headphones and they go after clarity and sound accuracy. They usually tune their devices to have no boosting in either treble or bass. If you are used to headphones by other manufacturers like Beats and call them good, basically you are just used to, and likely prefer, the artificially boosted bass made prevalent in today's market by the rise in popularity of Beats. Lower to mid tier headphones now emulate Beats in boosting bass because it's easier to get away with heavy bass muddying the mids than an neutral sound but overall bad. There's a reason why a number of accuracy audiophiles in general have disdain for Beats.
