Jelly Bean Bugs

I installed jelly bean using finalized build and the Galaxy Nexus TookKit to root the GSM international YAKJUXE that i purchased from newegg. Everything works except that Every few minutes the phone looses signal and the Pin Lock Screen shows up and interrupts what every i am doing. I dont think that the signal is so bad where i am to cause this and this never happened with ICS. BTW I am located in the Caribbean.

ive had this issue before. it turned out to be a loose sim card. check that maybe?

Really? I'm not seeing this at all. I do miss the punctuation bar (which is now hidden inside one key at the bottom) but I've noticed that the stock keyboard is incredible responsive. There is zero lag when you touch a key and I'm so much faster now when typing. I hate to say it, but is just as quick (if not quicker) than the keyboard on my iPhone 4s (which I got through work). The new keyboard is fantastic, for me.

Is there any way to disable Google now?

You go to Google Now, scroll down, hit the settings button then select Google Now and you will see the on/off button up on the right side and you just simply slide to off.

Also, I'm experiencing lag with the JB keyboard too, worked faster on ICS.

Settings -> Location services -> Google's location service : uncheck and check and try again.
It should work.

Is there a way to keep it from going to Google search when I swipe up from the home button? I seem to always hit that when doing something

When the battery is low it pops up in the lock screen and you cannot remove it.

second thing i've noticed, is that if I am texting a lot, I have gotten a prompt saying "Messaging is sending a large amount of messages" and then something along the lines of "Allow" or "not allow" sending of each text i send.
It mostly happens only when I send more than 10+ text messages in a minute? it never happened in ICS or any other past Android version.. so i don't know how to fix it

There is a issue ticket for that Issue 36617 - android - Messaging is sending a large amount of messages - Android - An Open Handset Alliance Project - Google Project Hosting -- please star it :)

Has anyone had any problems with videos freezing? Everyonce in a while ill play a video from the Play Movie app, or even sometimes youtube and it will freeze the app and make the phone all slugish. Sometimes a quick restart solves the problem, sometimes i have to reboot the phone. It doesnt always happen but often enough to bug me.

This is not a bug but screen background inconsistency in ICS/Jelly bean I believe..

If you go to Settings-->More-->Mobile Network and
Settings-->About Phone-->Status the screen background is darker than the rest of the settings page. The other screens are polished black but these two are pitch black...

maybe its by design since these screen are phone settings screen

- Can't turn off vibration feedback on lockscreen using the default lock.
- not really a Jb bug but may associate with it is the Chrome browser is somewhat laggy compared to stock.
- low volume, may be a hardware issue.

Lack of a feature you want isn't a bug. Apps not built into the phone have nothing to do with the device.
