I received a Asus TF300GT through my company, problem is i am the second owner and there is a existing gmail account on the tablet.

I need to remove this account but cannot do a factory reset as all the apps i need for work are on the unit.

Please advise how i can remove this second account.

Welcome to Android Central! It's good to have you here. Try this: Go to Settings -->Accounts. You should see the Google account. From there you should be able to remove it (you may have to tap it once (it should show everything it's linked to). ...and then you should be able to go the Menu and select 'Remove Account'.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks,

Brad

You cannot remove the Google account used to set up an android phone. Only those added after the first one used to sign in.

Take it to IT and have them reset it. Why did they not check this before issuing the device? Factory resetting returned devices should be standard operating procedures...

To remove the original Google account, you'll have to add another gmail account . only then will you be able to delete the first one.
