Jelly Beans 4.3 issues

I've been reading on another forum that people who have updated to 4.3 in UK are having problems with the lock screen lagging, battery life issues and a host of other problems. There is an ota update available on my phone but nothing on KIES as yet and I'm now wondering if I should bother. Is anyone in UK having these issues if so do these relate to specific branded devices or the unlocked version?

Only problem ive noticed is that it takes a lot longer to charge.
Im going to do a reset to keep it all fresh.

I full charged my phone last night and took it off about 1am. Woke up at 7am and 40% had drained. So there maybe some problems with battery issues. But id suggest a restore to sort the phone out and start again. I will be doing that.

Or perhaps most of us haven't received an update to 4.3 yet, so we have nothing to complain about.

Battery and screen lock lagging issues is what i am getting. I am gearing up for a reset (sorry to go on) i am just checking and double checking i have absoultly everything backed up.

I have been notified that the update is available but I'm not going to install it I am happy that it will not screw
up my phone.

I received my Jelly Bean 4.3 upgrade OTA today and the upgrade was smooth and clean

However I have a problem with SERIOUS lagging when I press the home button on the Lock Screen and this is very annoying, have not noticed that the battery is draining more than usual but its only been 1/2 day so far.

Keef, same as me mate. But for me the lagging is also when I press the back button to exit apps.

DO NOT UPDATE YOUR S3 TO 4.3
Im in Ireland got the update OTA 2 days ago, as its ruined the phone.
1. Home button or lock button rarely work to unlock screen, so out with the battery and back in again.
2. During incoming call the screen doesnt display anything and the ringtone is spluttery.
3.Alarm clock works on occasion.
4.Notif bar continuely shows my downloads. Clear and they reappear
5. During ten minute call, battery drops by 12%.
6. Phone restarts itself sometimes.

After ringing samsung uk today the gent mentioned a fix was in the pipes but no duedate.

So again DONT UPDATE.
Dont believe me check out the forums in Ireland both vodafone and meteor. Im with meteor.

I noticed yeaterday when playing muaic through earphones the track stop starts all the time. Annoying. Hope they fix it soon.

Hey GSDer,
why do you reckon as reset is needed? ( im a Newb). And how come when I went from ics to jb 4.1.2 I didnt have any issues at all?

I hear that Samsung have officially pulled the 4.3 update temporarily because of some "issues" :-\

New fix for 4.3 is out today for international s3. Hopefully it will fix it all up and make my phone a phone again
