Joining the S family or staying with your Note20?

Hopefully they surprise everyone and make a true Note comeback!

Honestly if they did make a true Note comeback (which I don't think they will), if the Note 21 Ultra made it to market, I'm willing to bet the SD Card slot was going to be eliminated.

wish they had kept the Sd card slot then I would have happily brought the S22 ultra... .. for now very happy with my 512gb with 200gb sd card in my Note 20 ultra... snapdragon version

Just bought an unlocked Note 20 Ultra from Swappa for $700 and Samsung is offering $850 trade in towards an s22 Ultra. If I get the 256gb one then I'll have to pay like $450. Still debating if I want to go that route or keep the Note; I'm also using a Z Fold 3.

I do like sd card also but today wouldn't make me not get a device , still waiting one day for notification led light ( wishful thinking)
I have enough storage on Smart switch pc /cloud service and on device

install aodNotify Pro

Yeah seen enough to say im in

I did it too... but didn't have a lot of choice. Patti and I were on our 5 week FL camping excursion and the Note 20 Ultra decided to die. Display or display driver, not sure which... no backup phone with me on the road, still 3 weeks to go, in Daytona Beach. Went to an AT&T Store there and upgraded my plan to a 5G Unlimited Plan (finally), added a line so I could keep the insurance on the Note 'til I get it fixed, then cancel the line and bought a new S22 Ultra. Just the kind of expenditure I needed on a long vacation!!!

Sounds like you experienced BSOD... the Black Screen Of Death occuring with N20U including mine.

If you are under warranty then they should refer you to a ubreakifix store for a new screen that includes a new battery. If out of warranty I believe Samsung is still having that promotion $100 screen replacement on N20U. But if you have insurance I guess you'll go that route.

Oh no! So sorry that your N20U decided to stop working. Thankfully, you were able to find a s22U to purchase.

Hopefully there will be no other hiccups & you can enjoy your remaining vacation.
:)

I'm still trying to get a 512gb version, but I have to do it through upgrade to be able to afford it, so I'm stuck as my provider only has the 128gb in stock

Hmm... I am perfectly happy with my N20U and my desire for the S22U had subsided and thinking about the S23U... but Samsung giving up to $1000 off an S23U and free upgrade to 256GB model. This phone was launched... in February and still offering $1000 off and memory upgrade.

They are offering $950 for the N20U and you can add some old device as an additional trade in if you want to get the $50 more to make it $1000.

$200 for trade in and when the S23U comes out, you'd probably make that back on the higher trade-in value on the S23U if you were waiting for that... or can hold ya until the S24U.

It only cost me $300 out of pocket when I upgraded from the Note 8 to the Note 20 with $1,000 rebate it. And now 2 years later to upgrade from the note 20 to the note 22 is even cheaper at $250. Boy it's very cheap to upgrade Samsung Notes every couple of years.

What to do... what to do????
