Will a hard reset delete all the applications I downloaded such as n64oid?
What exactly will it delete?
What exactly will it delete?
I remember when I first got my INC I had to power on and off once it was all set up becasue Android System was eating battery.
Spare Parts, and the "battery usage" shortcut are useful for diagnosing rogue apps. System Panel is also good to see how much RAM each of your apps is using (and you can kill apps too).
You don't happen to have a task killer do you?
I slept 8 hours last night and lost about 6% battery. (I turn my data connections off when I'm sleeping though since I don't need to be receiving emails or friend status updates)
My Blackberry had (has) a "bed time" setting that you could set to turn on every time you plugged in your phone - or you could set it manually. It would keep the phone from ringing and all other notification sounds turned off.... except for the alarm clock.
Is there a similar setting in the Thunderbolt? Does clicking on the "Moon/Star" button on the desk clock do the same thing?
Open the clock app and you'll see the icon you are referring to.

Does pushing that button shut off all notifications (phone calls, emails, texts, etc.) except the alarm clock?
I found the solution to all the battery problems!!!!!!! Return the phone!!!!! I exchanged mine yesterday for the iPhone and after 15 hours of HEAVY use still have battery life left! I never had to dim the screen or turn off my bluetooth or guess whats running in the background, my headaches are solved. I'm sure there will be people that go nuts over this post but i'm trying to help some people out, I personally couldn't deal with that damn battery life as i would have needed about 5 batteries to get through what i did on the iphone today all in one charge. Good Luck everyone
Enjoy your antenna problem

Battery has increased significantly the last few days since I installed Juice Defender Beta. I went from about 8 hours on a good day w/o it with moderate use to getting 14+ hours and still having 50% left! However, today my battery has just sucked down the juice and when I look at Juice Defender Beta status area, it shows several ERROR messages. Does this mean this Beta app is now junk? I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling a couple of times and it still shows several ERROR sourcefile codes. Any advice out there or do we have to wait to have these issues fixed for the Thunderbolt? Thanks
I think everyone is receiving error messages in their log when using the Beta. JD has suggested to use the Beta if you are on the TB, but I haven't read if they know what the problem is. With the reg version it was disabling itself, at least with the Beta the app is still staying on... I just don't know what is not working.
I am using Green Power until I hear otherwise.
Posted this somewhere else but I'll help you really fast with battery life. This is the simpler version to help preserve.
1. If you don't use GPS often, turn it off, all of them. If you do use GPS often, I recommend only checking Standalone and Google.
2. Backlight. Either set to automatic or a low percentage such as 30-40%
3. Sync. I do not use HTC Peep or Friendstream. So I make sure that neither are auto-syncing. This will help your battery tremendously. Only have things you rely on to auto-sync i.e. gmail, calendar etc.
4. No live wallpapers. Under no circumstances.
5. Use the least amount of widgets as possible. Whatever widgets you have on your screen, they are running in the background.
6. Refrain from using task killers.
7. If you have wi-fi, I suggest you use it whenever possible.
8. Increase sync periods. Instead of having apps sync every 3 hours, increase it to 6, or something more helpful. Again, huge battery saver.
Blackberry to Droid user here. Are "widgets" the icons you have set up on one of the 7 "home" pages? and are they not running in the background when they are in the "all apps" section?

Widgets are things like the clock and any sort of social networking feeds that update and display right on the home page, without you having to tap to open the app first.
So what kind of results are you getting with Green Power on your Thunderbolt?
An estimate is fine, no need for charts.![]()
