Im not to sure about the Ultimate version. I know that version gives you a lot more ways of trying to keep the battery life alive and it could be dangerous if your not sure what your doing. As in having to uninstall the app because of things not working right. Just try to set it on balenced mode and leave it at that. Now with K9 im not sure. I only use the Gmail app. But It syncs in 15 min increments when the screens off. You might have to open up K9 and fiddle with the syncing option on there.

Could you please post the link for Infused v1.5 ROM? I looked for that name in the Market to read more about the app, but I couldn't find it. Thanks in advance!

Yes Egidio, Infused is a custom ROM from a developer over on XDA. Your gonna have to Root your phone first. Then Install the modified 3e recovery file. Then install Infused from there. Its in there Samsung Infuse Development forums. Gives you a step by step on how to do it, including a youtube video on how to install the modded 3e recovery file. Its all fairly simple and worth the aggrivation of going through if your new at this lol. In the end youll notice a huge battery increase and a better looking, smoother running expierence

Purchased the Ultimate version middle of the week... set it to advanced and read each option to customize it to my liking. It has done a great job in boosting my battery live on my Infuse... very happy with it. My phone is mostly idle during the work week while I am at work. Even with that I'd stil be down to 40% around 1:30... with Ultimate in, I'm usually still in the 70%+ range. Very happy.
