The beta version counts as the original / main version. I downloaded the beta and plus version and it works fine.

I agree. You have to have the beta for the other ones to work. One of the best apps I ever bought from the market.

I switched from the BB Bold. I'm a truck driver and a very heavy user but still only had to charge my BB once every 24-48 hrs. I tried juice defender and only noticed a 1.6% save so I deleted it.

Now I just have one charger in my bedroom, one in my kitchen, one in my pick up truck, one in the front of my big truck and one in the sleeper. This way I'm never without a charged Infuse.

Hopefully Seidio Innocell will come out with a 3500mAH extended battery for us. I'm not worried about a few extra ounces.

That's charging dedication right there!

Egidio, would you mind sharing your settings? I'm interested to try them on mine and see if it helps.

Here it goes. Presently JuiceDefender Plus is showing that my battery life increased by 2,00 in the last 48 hours. I have JD set to "customize" because I have some apps that I want on always. In the Settings tab, I have the following:

Mobile data: enabled
WiFi: enabled
Location: enabled
Schedule: enabled
Frequency: 15 m
Night: disabled (I always turn off phone and recharge it overnight)
Apps: enabled
Configure: here you use the apps of your choice. I set my streaming apps to "visible" because I want to be able to listen to music in the car via Bluetooth.

Just to give an idea, I'm not a heavy phone user other than for music. Email is set to push for several accounts. WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS are on, though I know I don't need them on all the time. I do occasionally check Twitter and Facebook.

Is the apps portion just for when the screen is off? My Pandora was working with the screen off even before I did this customized stuff.

I believe it is. At least that was the problem I was having with Orb Live. It would play one song and then stop. It wouldn't continue streaming. Were you able to stream continuously without any interruptions? I also checked the forum section in JD and recall seeing some issue with Pandora. However, it appears you were not having any problems at all.

Yeah when I first downloaded JuiceDefender Plus, I was using the balanced setting, so nothing was customized. I did give Pandora a couple tries, and it worked flawlessly with JuiceDefender on, even when the screen went off. Now one thing I noticed when I switched it to customized was that there were several apps that were already enabled, including Pandora. Maybe your orb player just wasn't recognized by JD+. I had Pandora, Google Maps, Web, and one or two more pre-enabled.

Yes, that was the case for me. I had several apps enabled. Orb Live was not one, though. Maybe the people in JD+ were not familiar with Orb Live. :)

Can you guys help me out more on this?

What does this app do? I read the posts but still unsure.
Does it Turn off data when screen locked? Will my mail still be checked?

The app had different ways of saving your battery life. Normally I just keep it on Balanced mode. What that does is it turns off your wifi and mobile data network when the phones screen is off. It sets it to check for any syncing every 15 minutes. Its pretty worth it to me because it saves the battery life tremendisly. I have a Gmail account and yes I still get my email, within 15 minute increments when the screen is off. Thats on Balanced mode. You can set it on different modes to see how extreme it will work on the battery. But the Mobile Network is one of the biggest battery eaters.

Now, JuiceDefender worked flawlessly on my Infuse. But within the past 4 days, Ive installed the Infused v1.5 ROM. And havent had to use JuiceDefender because that ROM is made up for battery saving abilities and its just as good as what Juice Defender has to offer. If Im ever back on the Stock ROM, Ill install JuiceDefender Plus back. I would highly recommend that app.

Terrigno,

Could you please post the link for Infused v1.5 ROM? I looked for that name in the Market to read more about the app, but I couldn't find it. Thanks in advance!

It's not in the market. It is a new time. It's like installing a modified version of windows on your computer. It's not for the feint of heart. That said, if you want it, you need look no further than xda. Google infused 1.5 xda.

Thanks for help.

So i installed the app and the "ultimate" add on.

I use k-9 mail for my 2 gmail accounts. The new JD app made my k-9 mail stop working, said "sync disabled". I could not find how to allow/enable it in the JD app. Had to uninstall JD to get to my email for now, any tips?

I've used this appsince say one and I think its been casuing issues with receiving picture messages. Anyone else having this problem? Might uninstall it. I think the options are set up in a confusing manner.
