My understanding is it's the first Monday of the month too, making it available sometime today.

It could be. I have seen it be the first Monday and then seen it wait until around the 5th.

Either way I just go with it being somewhere near the start of the month at a reasonable time .

Improve consistency of Wi-Fi connections with certain routers

It would be nice to know the names of those "certain routers".

It would be nice to know the nature of the improvement. If my P2 can maintain a solid connection halfway down the block from my Netgear WNR2000, it should even work with a Trendnet. Maybe something with IPv6? Or with ac? That's what would be nice to know.
