I get your point, yet this is supposed to be Google's strong suit. Of course we don't want updates that don't work, but it's not like they don't know a new month comes every 30 days. They trumpet the new features with the quarterly feature drop, yet here it is nearly mid-June. Where are they? Makes you wonder if they haven't cut so many people they can't get it done. You'll get it when it's ready. Or would you prefer half backed and multiple updates to fix it after like a beta? Personally, I'll wait.
There have been modem issues, especially on T-Mobile, since the March update, and they (T-Mobile support) told my fiancé, who has a 7 Pro, that google was working on a fix and the update would come in June. I know this is true because if you look at the Google Developers site, in May, T-Mobile did not get a modem update like the other carriers did as they are on the older version ending in .004. So she's had to pay top dollar for a device and wait 3 months for them to fix it? In what other industry can a company have a product that doesn't work and they tell you to wait 3 months and we might fix it. Can you imagine buying another product, such as an appliance that cost over $1,000, and they just said, "sorry your new dishwasher doesn't work, we are working on something that might fix it, but it could take months for us to be able to get it to work, and no, you can't return it for a refund, just let it sit there and look pretty and we'll fix it soon."
