Downloading now. Seems like a big one.

I think this Feature Drop is supposed to have new camera functionality, Photos functionality and other new stuff.

Got the update, phone has been wonky ever since. Google Photos won't load any pictures, just keep doing the round "loading" circle.

Failed? Wow! I've never heard of that happening before. Was your WiFi/data connection weak?

I just set up my pixel 3XL the other day, and for the first brand new out of the box start up, the power button on my brand new Nomad leather case stuck on and sent the phone into a boot loop. I didn't figure it out at first and thought I had a bad phone...it updated some then looped, updated a bit more than looped, till I figured the issue out and pulled the case off. I figured for sure it was borked and I'd need to reflash the firmware, but it continued on like a champ and updated from 2018 to the latest on all software fronts. It's now working perfectly ;)

My pixel 1 was the same way..... I think it's almost impossible to screw up an update on a pixel, unlike some other phones where you do everything perfectly and still pray the phone works right :p

That's pretty awesome that you figured all that out! I definitely wouldn't have thought that the case had been the culprit!

Seems like it broke Chat features in Messages. Keeps insisting on verifying my number

Has anyone seen the new Lock Folder icon option in the Camera app? It's supposed to be an icon in the top right corner when taking a picture. Neither of our phones have it (Pixel 5 & 4XL). It's not something I plan on using, don't really have a need to lock pictures into a special folder, just curious why it's not on our phones when Google says it was part of this Feature Drop.

Yeah not seeing it either (P5). Nothing in settings to be found. Maybe it's a server-side thing and someone forgot to throw the switch? (Just spit-balling)

I saw that we were going to get this in a feature drop video I was watching last night. It's an interesting feature though I don't think I'd have a use for it either in my day to day use. Hopefully we get it soon though! Maybe if someone's taking screenshots of important things, it would come in handy.

All that I've seen about this is that it will be rolling out over time. Even reviewers of this months feature drop didn't have it yet.
