I just bought a one x yesterday and while reading an articale on flipboard I saw that the one x+ was supposed to have that and the regular one x had the qualcom dual core. My hardware also says I'm running at 1.7ghz is it possible that I got an upgraded phone with the nvidia tegra 3 quadcore like it says on my phones hardware screen?

the one x was dualcore in the U.S and for the most part quadcore for Europe and the rest of the world. where are you located and where did you get the phone as the one x+ is not released yet iirc. did you buy it second hand or has it been rooted

I live in AlAska and I bought it from my carrier GCI which is an Alaska based company. Maybe it was cheaper for them to get phones from Europe instead of shipping up here from lower 48 (continental US). They just received this shipment a day prior to my purchase. I'm sure I don't have the one x+ but maybe I got one of those European models u are talking about. This sucker is fast though.

stranger things have happened. given your location and the fact the shipment just came in you might have got something that shouldn't have been sold yet.go to settings/about/software and see what its running.right now the onex is running sense 4.1.there should be an update for the original onex starting at the end of the month which will make them even quicker:)

It says I'm rockin HTC sense 4.0. Kinda odd config on the phone then huh? What's the update coming out? My OS is the 4.0.3(ice cream sandwich). The article said that onex+ has the 4.1 jellybean so that would mean probably not a onex+ but the tegra 3 and the 1.7ghz is nice.

you should be due the update to 4.0.4 and sense 4.1 with the update to JB and sense4+ to come.check your update feature settings/about/software updates/check now

I went to the settings/about and after that I don't have an option for software update. Any thoughts? Could my carrier not offer that option on this phone?

GCI has no LTE, so they would be selling the international model. It is the best phone for that network..

Go to Settings / About / Software Information and post your Android version number.
There is also a model number on the back of the phone near the bottom (hard to read)

Its just as likely your phone is out of the Far East Market, (Singapore Taiwan) as the Euro market.
If the phone offers German or Italian languages in Settings / Language and Keyboard its Euro.

No option for Software Updates is pretty strange. Never heard of that.

Can you post a screen shot of the 1.7 GHz?:rolleyes:

I'm trying but the speck case I have on is making it difficult with the top button. I will take the case off when I get back from my halibut fishing trip out of Whittier, and take pic then. I get back tomorrow.

To hell with the screen shots.
Post pictures of the fishing trip, and send me some cheeks. :p

Hold power button and tap the home button.

Sent from my S3(:

Holding down the power button and tapping the home button us HTC 's method for taking screen shots.

I prefer ICS' methods, I.e. Holding the power button and the volume down button at the same time. Cause it puts the screenshots in their own folder, and unlike HTC's method which puts them in the camera shots folder.... :D

Unfortunately that method does not work with many models of the HOX.

It definitely does NOT work with my international version.

It works with mine, but in the beginning I thought it didn't because I would not hold both buttons down long enough.
