I had a Nexus 7 last year and regretted parting with it. So I just got the MeMo Pad, really liking it so far. :)

Thanks, i am liking it very much.

I do have a question, what exactly does Android OS consist of and why does it consume the highest battery percentage.

Thanks for your help.

Hard to say specifically--if you tap it on that screen, it might give you a breakdown of the components, but unless you're actually a Google engineer, it might not be that helpful.

82% is pretty high, unless you've been doing nothing else with the tablet. Has your tablet been mostly idle for the last day or so?

Thanks, yes it has been mostly idle yesterday afternoon through today.

Here is all that shows when I tap the Android OS

You'd probably need something like GSam Battery Monitor to get a more detailed breakdown. But it looks like you lost about 25% battery on idle over a day and a half, which isn't that bad. Since the device is still technically on, it is presumably still communicating with servers intermittently for various data updates, which will take some battery.

Have you tried rebooting, then seeing if the battery stats keep looking the same?

Thanks again.

Yes I have tried re booting and within a couple of hours the stats start looking the same.

I am happy with the battery life, was just curious that the screen isn't taking the highest percentage as my Nexus 7 did.

I will try the battery monitor and then quit worrying about it.

Thanks for all your help :)
