Just got an XS...

Cell signal strength and bluetooth connectivity are poor on the S10+. I compared with several phones, including the Note 9 and the XS Max.

I've found them to be pretty equal on cell signal. On WiFi, my S10 Plus is definitely better. It's particularly better at picking up 5Ghz WiFi. I wish there were a way to have 5Ghz peferred on the iPhone.

I know. It's strange. I dont expect reception to be great in my house. On my iPhone I get 2 maybe 3 bars. I'm getting zero to 1 bar on my S10+.

That's why , I flash between carrier and unlock version alot , and unlock always have less bar compared to carrier ones. Maybe on the carrier firmware you get the carrier aggression.

Is that only for android devices? I usually unlocked iPhones and never experienced that. Thanks for you help.

That's my experience on my unlocked 1+6 ,google pixel, SAMSUNG..the unlocked iPhones do perform better the unlocked version of Android, but not Carrier firmware Android.

Yes.i realise that too.usually with my S10P i would have low signal.but with the XS it had better signal.

Im still using 2.4ghz wifi at home.and my XS picks up hotspots which my S10P cant even detect...

Exact opposite for my S10 5G. Great reception, bad signal everywhere with the iPhone

Yeah, that's subjective at best. I prefer my S10 in almost every way.

I once bought an iPhone a few years ago, I think it was the iPhone 6 when it first came out. I was exasperated with it. All the things I could do with my Android phone, I couldn't figure out how to do the same with the iPhone. Ended up refunding the iPhone on the 14th day, the last day of the return policy. My GF has the iPhone 8. She is constantly amazed at all the things I can do with my Android phone that she can't do with her phone.

In my case its opposite I have better signals on samsung than iphone. But I always keep latest iPhone along with latest galaxy. I usually like note series more but this time s10 plus is awesome too. In some cases iPhone clicks better pics than s10 and vice versa. Battery life is better on samsung for me. Theres something about iOS which makes it feel more slick than any other phone out there. I have macbook too. As I have bought essential apps on both eco system, I can switch anytime.
