Just got camera update for unlocked/USA

I'm sure you'll enjoy the Note 9
You'll probably get a good deal by now from AT&T. Hope to see you soon with your brand new Note

Looking like I'll likely be going with Target's Black Friday deal unless.

Oops. There was going to be an unlikely combination of factors that could lead to Pixel, but I figured I didn't want to further digress. Accidentally left the "unless" part.

I've just checked mine after reading a Sammobile article about an imminent update. Still nothing.

Well I flashed the Verizon rom with October security just now from unlocked rom and it's up and running without losing user data . it's only us rom on October from where I download and use Odin

My cat woke up and was grooming, so i thought i'd snap some pics. Decent lighting. Shes grooming slowly bc she's sleepy-should be no problem to catch.

Utter garbage. Blurry photos, not ONE decent one, not one clear catch of her tongue out. Fur looks all liquidy-why? These are photos from a 1k phone?

I have to agree...my Note 9 struggles as of late. I miss too many good pictures with it. It is a capable camera but something is wrong here.

That's what's frustrating about looking to upgrade from my pixel 2 xl. Samsung makes such great hardware, and i can use launchers and icon packs/themes to get close to stock Android, but i can't downgrade to a camera like that. The s9+ camera was disappointing enough that i didn't even consider using it for myself and it looks like they haven't upgraded much for the note 9.

For every shot I get like this on the Note 9:

and this...

I would get shots like these and this is with an effort to make sure they took well...

I have the same problems with the camera. Anything still turns out great. Any movement causes everything to look blurry. It is very frustrating, since I like taking shots of my kid playing sports, sporting events, dogs, etc.

Same problem as above. Used the Note 9 for a few days then went back to my Pixel 2 XL. With small kids I need a camera that doesn't struggle with movement lol.

With note series (other than great Spen) I like dual camera a lot which is super useful when having family fun. That alone makes a huge difference and stop me thinking outside Samsung.

The 2xl camera has been amazing as far as getting pictures of my kids. Samsung seriously needs to try to strike a deal with Google to use their camera software and algorithms. I love stock Android, but I would definitely have a note 9 if the camera was the same.

That will never happen. That's the one ace up Google's sleeve. Anybody can ship vanilla Android so that's not a selling point, but that magic sauce they put on the Camera is their secret weapon.

I was having camera freezing issues to where it was almost unusable so had to carry around my IPhone XS Max or my Pixel 2XL for the camera. Just got the ARJ7 October 1st update on AT&T and so far the camera is working nicely. But I can assure you that both my XS Max and Pixel 2XL have their fair share of struggles in low/indoor lighting. Honestly if you want good CONSISTENT shots in indoor/low light of people, pets, kids etc. then there is no smartphone that will give you that. Invest in a Sony RX100 V or VI or carry a pocket light along with you.

Yeah it's definitely wishful thinking. One of these days a manufacturer will get everything right lol
