Just got marshmallow ota

Thanks for the info. In the top left hand corner it is still prompting me to update to 5.0.2 lollipop. Am I going to see the 6.0 Marshmellow update when it becomes available?

Just received the OTA for my razorg (LTE) from MRA58K to MRA58V, only 2.1MB in size. Nice to see that the LTE models are being kept up-to-date with security patches like the Wifi models.

But not the Marshmallow update, right? Has anybody with the LTE version gotten the Marshmallow OTA yet?

wow thanks for that info. I thought Nexus devices used the Google Now launcher by default and I thought the Nexus 7 just didn't support it. I didn't realize it was a seperate app to download.

It's because the Google Now launcher was released after the N7 came out in mid 2013 and Google decided to let users opt into installing it or keep using the old launcher. #androidfolklore

Notification came through this morning on my wi-fi N7. Downloaded, installed, and updated with no problems, although I did a system cache wipe after the upgrade to clear out any lingering cruft. No problems so far, everything seems as smooth as it did under 5.1.

I flashed the first Marshmallow factory image (MRA58K) as soon as it was made available, I didn't wait for the OTA. So yes, I have been on Marshmallow on my N7 2013 LTE for about a month or so. I just received an OTA with the Nov security update that took me from MRA58K to MRA58V.

I was in a similar position as you are - I was on Kitkat and wanted to go directly to Marshmallow. I flashed the Marshmallow factory image without waiting for the OTA.

Kind of new to the nexus 7 2013. I am still running it onkit kat 4.4.4 in fear of the 5.1 lollipop freezeup. Do I need to update all the previous ota 5.0.2 5.1 5.1.1 before to get the 6.0 marshmallow ota update? Thanks in advance

If you take the invitation to upgrade to 5.0.2 you will be asked to upgrade to at least that version of Lollipop. I would strongly suggest you simply flash the current factory image with Google's Android SDK or with a tool like Nexus Root Toolkit.

and 6.0 has arrived....

installed on a 16gig WiFi Nexus 7.... all is smooth..... Don't see any non-compatible apps so far....

Found the file downloaded when I got home from work, installing now on 16GB wifi model.

I also picked up my WiFi nexus 7 2013 about 30 minutes ago, and 6.0 had already downloaded, so punched go, and the update proceeded without a hitch. No noticeable performance changes, everything appears to work as before. Actually the only differences I have noticed so far are the new wallpapers. ☺

Got the OTA update last night. Only issue I've noticed is occasional screen artifacts when scrolling though photos and animated gifs in Google Photos.

Just got 6.0 this morning
Northern California, Nov 10, ~0900Hr.

Starting to use it now after getting home from work and errands. From the sounds of it, not too much concern in compatibility. Although I am interested to see how Doze works.

Cheers.

N7 2013 WiFi/LTE with TMobile.
Installed last night. OTA. It took about 10 minutes.
No noticeable difference.
