Just got my Nexus 5 and don't wanna freak out...

I know there is a ton of discussion on this so I just would like to be clear...

After turning on my new N5 I noticed a bit of a yellow tint on the screen.

It's more apparent on black/white backgrounds.

So, is this normal? Should it go away? Should I RMA it?

Food resource, David. Op, if rooting isn't for you try getting a replacement. You could run into the same issue with a new device, but it's worth a shot if you don't want to root.

I just got one too and it doeant have a yellowish tint to the screen really at all. I will admit however it is a little "less white" than let's say the nexus 7, but nothing bad or excessive at all.

I received mine recently and didn't have any weird yellow tint on white backgrounds. Guess I got lucky. If it is there I don't notice it at all

Yeah I freaked out.

The yellow tint ended up being a non-issue, but the battery life was just atrocious and had a ton of issues using bluetooth headsets.

Called Google today and set up a return.

And of course, got a OPO invite today so that's that.
