Just got my nexus

Got mine several hours ago about 10 am and am in love with it! Battery was at 46%

I'm very happy with it :)

Does anyone have any problems with their tablets such as screen issues etc. other people who purchased from the stores were having?

I downloaded a pixel checker and didnt have any problems. Compared to the Galaxy nexus the colors are a bit muted, but Im at work and really havent messed around much.

I received mine at 2pm. Put it on the charger for an hour and just set it up. So far the build is excellent and so is the screen display. I will know more about the tablet after tonight, but so far I am satisfied with the quality.

just got mine, box was sealed, ordered it from the Google Play store, does not appear to have the screen glass issue. It just completed updates - oh, and 30% battery when i turned it on.

Got mine 10 minutes before a computerless meeting, so I started it up, logged in, plugged it in and ran to my meeting, sucks, no playing for me.

Mine delivered an hour ago. Set up no problem. No screen problem. I am accustomed to the size of the zoom, but I really like the weight of the Nexus 7.

Well, that explains why the battery was dead. You think it got turned on while being packaged? And if so, why didn't the screen timeout? Hmm...

I do not even know :O but now we know the battery lasts

Got mine at 3.30pm. Works beautifully.
40% battery when unpacked. No screen issues
Had a problem getting onto google account but just reset pssword and ready to roll.
WPA2 router upstairs works great. Easy peasy.

Did you ask them to setup your account for you? They may have opened the box to do that.

I would have thought the account setup would be similar to the way Amazon handles the Kindle, where the serial number of a device is associated with the account, but you never know. It could also be what is holding up some people's pre-orders (including mine). If they had told me that account setup would have added to the the order fulfillment time I would not have opted for it and would have typed my email and password in myself!

Google's order page says they use the serial number. So that is not the reason they opened these boxes.

I just received mine and it was previously opened and I am not going to open it but send it back unless Google tells me why there was a need to open the box and then not put a sticker on the box with the reason. I feel like bait and switch, and there is no way of knowing if I got a 'preproduction' unit and then reboxed and sent out as new!

You just don't do that on a new device and no give a reason, it's not ethical!

Hi everyone,

I was waiting all day today to see if Google would charge my card (ordered mine 7/3 with no confirmation nor charge at that point). I did not see anything so I decided to check with different vendors BJ's, Gamestop and Staples to see who had any stock. I am in the Bronx and the Bronx Staples on Fordham Road had some available at around 11:45 am. I checked again later and they had 3 in stock. The representative on the phone told me to come in and ask for the manager and give him my name and I could buy a Nexus 7. I get home to check my account and see that Google charged my card. My bank told me I could dispute the charge. With my luck, it will have to be sent back as I was sending it to my job and not my home. Oh well! I am still a happy camper to have my baby home at last!:-*

Just received my nexus 7 and I honestly think they shipped me a previously owned unit... The battery was above 90 percent and when powered on right out of the box, it displayed someone else's email account and told me to enter the password...

Are you serious!

I have been talking about this in another thread. Would love you to go there and tell your story.

Everyone is saying I'm overreacting.

But to see someone else's account name make me really be nervous over this.

Just got my nexus :D

Mine arrived around noon at my house, just got home and pulled the sucker out, had them set mine up so there was the black seal tabs over the transparent tabs, Came with about 60% battery and have been charging it/loading apps ever since, after I figured how to remove the screen orientation lock for apps, it was on to installing my library of apps.

I am so glad I put off getting my tablet on the rumor of a Google tablet, this thing is amazing, now looking at my note, it seems antiquated lol.

All I can say is, if you have one on order, it will be worth the wait,

I do allot of messaging applications, social networking, book reading, and this device is perfect.
