Just got the 2.0.1 Update OTA

I have no idea why some people get there updates first but it could be worse you could have a storm.

I have to wait until Thursday too.

Most are speculating it is to ensure that there are no serious problems with the update

Seems that the widgets for youtube and the music player are different .. no real change in setup or anything.

Got the update last night - download, install and reboot took about 7min.

New unlock screen.

Menus are faster.

One thing freaked me out the MENU BUTTONS and the KEYBOARD were not lighting up. POWERED DOWN and back up twice, no change. This was late last night and deided if others were having this it would show up. Now before the update I downloaded Google Goggles, it's BETA but very fun to play with. Once I launched Google Goggles the MENU & Slide Out Keybord lights up.

Everything has been solid since. In the office working so I cant attest for the battery life yet.

I downloaded Google Goggles yesterday as well.. My phone went ape **** crazy about an hour later. Back button would not work then all the sudden the camera app started opening every 2 seconds.. Wouldnt stop.. Had to get a new phone... Im going to be waiting a while before i try that again.

Maybe a developer can make it?
The one thing I loved is gone.

You could use DxTop with an android 2.0 theme, not sure if it'll work or not.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DONT HAVE THE UPDATE YET.

go to your local VZW CORPORATE STORE and ask them for the update. Depending on your rep, they might flash your phone for you. takes all of 10 minutes, and is worth it.

Don't think there is an individual list one who gets the update and when. Try doing the manual update its fairly easy.

Sweet, just manually applied the update and boy does it make a difference. The phone is noticeable faster and much more snappy. Also I noticed they updated the power widget as well, which I did not see in the update log.

*EDIT*

Looks like most of the widgets have been updated, calendar, music, search, power, etc. I like the improvements, anyone else have any feedback on the new widgets?

Is there a site or way to know this?

Thats how mine is as well. I think that is how it is now.

I don't think this can be changed, but if someone has found a way correct me if I'm wrong. It doesn't bother me much though

Any word on call quality because that is what has caused me my only complaints about the phone. Although I have had less issues the past weeks with people having trouble hearing me I would still love to just have it fixed 100% with an update.
