Just got the December Security Patch

Question does using another camera app or ported pixel cam give same problem?

That's a real good question - I haven't had any issues using another camera app but the features in the ones I've used have been lacking. I have been searching for one that would use both wide and telephoto lenses but haven't found one. I was using CameraZoom at one point, but someone had suggested another that I will take a look at.

Unfortunately when I tried the Google Pixel Port, the screen was all green and it would lag or crash in the setup menu sometimes. If it was more stable and the screen could be corrected, then I think I would consider that since I read that it takes great pics.

Do some research on xda about Google camera port you should find what your looking for.
I know there was something but I cant test which to download for you I'm on pie beta right now

Not sure why some have camera freezes, but I'm on AT&T Note 9 512GB and never had any freezes on my camera on any firmware build, not saying it's not happening to some of you, but just saying, Plus I'm on December patch 1ARL2.

I thought Note 9 Pie is supposed to be released in February after the S9 in January? Or did that change.

Sometimes it takes time to reach everyone, but if you haven't, can try update manually see if it's there.
