just got the evo 3d early

Anybody else think it's ironic that he was given an EVO 3D before ANYONE because he was the advocate for the device, yet he's bashing the phone going as far as to say he thinks it's a gimmick and it's not for him?

What a waste. Sprint should've sent it to someone who actually appreciates it.

Not everybody is going to like the device. He is giving his opinion and their is nothing wrong with that. You guys just assume everybody should like it. No that's not the case... He probably had no idea he wouldn't like the device. He also didn't receive any earlier then any of the reviewers either. Again don't bash on someone because he has an opinion and his opinion doesn't match your own.

Well i'm a Android blogger and work around about 10 different devices. My daily drivers are a EVO 4G and Nexus S. Again opinions are opinions, and not everyone will match what they feel for something, or rarely do they. Enough with bashing members.. Plain and simple just ignore the negative.

Yes everyone has right to their opinion, I am not a die hard fanboy. I jump devices all the time. Usually if someone has a phone before it is released, they post a picture or two and prove that they do indeed have the device. I have nothing against OP, he has his opinion and it is totally respected. If there were pictures provided why not just update the original post with it? it is pretty simple. No I am not a fanboy trying to defend a phone, it is just a phone after all, if you are going to have an opinion atleast back it up with facts dont just say it I have a phone. I am sure everyone who keeps up with the thread doesn't go through every page, sorry if I missed the pics provided, but they should have been in the original post regardless.

Again I hope this thread goes back to topic and I will stop coming here since I dont even know if the phone is indeed in his hands. When you are a developer or insider, it is a very bad practice to pop in and say 3 line review of the phone. It just doesn't make sense.

to me no i dont...it isnt worth upgrading to it....id keep my nexus and evo instead i wasnt really impressed but it may change i only had for a few days..id suggest playing with it before upgrading and gettin stuck with paying the 35 restock fee if you return it....it is a great product, cool features maybe this device isnt for me...the biggest issue i have is i cant really use the 3d part beacuse my eyes starting hurting and i get headaches after only a few mins but again i wear glasses 24/7 with that may be the cause....im already looking forward to the phatom and galaxy 2 phone...hopefully this helps and rember its a great product just not for me

So basically anyone that's getting this phone for every feature but the 3D, (which most people are saying) are getting a solid device. That's what I've taken away from nearly every review I've read. I can't wait for the 24th.

I think I will like the 3d. I bought the Nintendo 3ds when it came out and it has a certain viewing angle that takes a short time to get used to and it usually isnt right in your face. Also tilting the screen too far to the right and left causes the image to get less clear and causes more eye strain. Everyone I have shown the pictures to taken on the 3ds think they look pretty damn cool and my only disappointment with the 3ds camera is no flash. Only a few days left of waiting....

i aint bashing the device it has good features, yes im excited being the advocate. stuff happens its like did we all like what we got for xmas when we were young lol....all i did was voice my opinions not forcing anyone not to buy im just being honest, after using it a little longer the device to me is okay.. i have issues with the screen, force close error with min apps, and home screen gets stuck on 3d and notification bar lags and shows multiple icons where the time and 4g is located....still a good phone and i hope whoever is on the wait list, hopefully you guys get the chance to buy it on the first day and i would encourage to play with device before purchase since there's a 35 restock fee...

I do have a question, what does it look like with the screen turned up at full brightness, I've looked many places but cannot find it?

super bright..its a little brighter than the evo and it was hard on my eyes using the phone for awhile

To be honest when I heard the screen was just as bad as every other HTC device, if not worse, I cringed and knew not to even consider it...still is a solid device it's just the screen... its such a big downside to me...

How is the reception and data on yours? Able to get and hold 4G signal? How many bars of 3G and does Internet run fast?
