I am not even going to install it at first after reading some of the things that 5.0 does to the n7/n5. My devices are fine now and have been. I will wait and read a little bit on here from those who have updated about the effects of the update before installing.

I tried doing that weird google services framework trick where you clear the data and force stop. Still didn't work

(BTW does that jack up your device?)

Just FYI lollipop is terrible on the nexus 7. Slow and lags. Multitasking takes forever and the battery life is garbage. I'm flashing back to kit Kat.

I'm experiencing similar problems. Before I could get between 7-8 hours on a charge using Kitkat, now I'm lucky to see 7 hours on Lollipop, plus my lag issues were not fixed AT ALL. Or maybe it's just my Nexus 7s that are the problem (this is the second one I've bought now). The first tablet had major issues like random reboots and lag to the point of non-usability.

500MB damn that's a lot of space but I have a 32 gig version of Nexus 7 2013 so I'm good. To think I needed over 5 gigs I clean up everything at the moment I have 21 gigabytes well I'm still waiting

16 GB Nexus 7 2013. Non-rooted.

500 MB = 0.5 GB. If you don't have that much room available, your tablet isn't going to work right anyway, as I'm learning with my overfilled GNex.

I sideloaded the OTA because I was sick of waiting and I only have good things to say.
Battery life is great. The standby time is what really shines now.
I did a factory reset after the update. I always do on any device with a letter update.
