Just got your Galaxy Note Pro 12.2? Post Here!

I much prefer the Nova Launcher. It looks so much cleaner and I can set how many rows & columns I want on my home screen. Plus I can set "Ok Google" to launch a Google search by my voice. I also use the swipe features of Nova as shortcuts (swipe down pulls the notifications down so you don't have to reach WAY UP THERE to the top of the screen).

Completely agree. Nova is awesome. So clean. Lots of customization. Setting my own grid size is awesome. That was the first thing I installed to replace Samsung's Touch Wiz.

I love my Note, but the wifi connection is so irritating.. It either won't connect to my home network, my mobile hotspot , or my friends home network or if it does its constantly dropping.. I was to McDonald's and the same thing happened.. Wth?

Are you using Bluetooth at the same time? If yes, try turning Bluetooth off and see if that makes any difference. I have wifi connection issues when I run BT and Wifi at the same time, with the BT keyboard and mouse, but only if I take the device away from the BT items, like into another room. Weird, I know, but that's what happens. If I turn BT off, no wifi issues at all.

Wifi is still so flaky with so many things. I also disable Bluetooth when using it. Seems to help slightly.

If I'm at home, I use a wired connection via a USB to RJ45 (female) converter, plugging it into my other USB OTG converter. These wee peripherals are very handy and cheap to buy..

Hello everyone
Just tested one for a few days.....awesome piece of kit but I could not get it to login to the free wifi in the hotel I was staying in. My note 3 logged in ok. Tried a reboot ...no good and took it to reception and one of the managers with experience of the hotels wifi had a look. My main reason for having one is for presentations (in this specific hotel chain). I am going to wait until the 4g version comes out ( hopefully by december).
I read somewhere that the wifi is updated in the 4g version

I have no issues with wifi connectivity with my GNP 12.2. Even using blue tooth keyboard, mouse, and audio the wifi stays connected.

I thought the 2 models are built different?

Hi - looking to pick up one of these to replace my wife's paper calendar (and the millions of pieces of paper that are attached to it).

Opinions on the 12.2 as a calendar? This will be its primary use.

And also, would love to be able to wall-mount this where the current calendar is hung. Is there any product on the market that would help me achieve this? Ideally the wall-mount would be a charging cradle of sorts. If said product doesn't exist, ideas on a way to hack it into existence would be great.

Thanks!

Edit: Looking for a wall mount/dock that would allow relatively easy removal, not a permanent VESA mount type.

Just got my refurb. So far, it is excellent. For about 7 months, I have had the note 10.1 2014 edition. Even though it's a great tablet, the 12.2 is even better. The on-screen keyboard is more useful. Also, the larger screen is nice and isn't too big. Probably, within a month, I'll get the logitech bt keyboard for real extended typing. At present, I'm using my HP bt mouse and it works very well. Lastly, on my 10.1, multi-window worked well . On my 12.2, with the larger screen, it works even better.

Calengoo is a great calendar app. Especially if you want to use the month view and read the title of each event vs just seeing colored blocks. The month view looks great on the large 12.2" screen.

Plus if you both use Google Calendar (and also your kids if you have any) then you can view all of the calendars together (color coded) in the same view.

I've finally lodged a complaint with Expedite Electronics on my 12.2.

What's App comes up and says it doesn't work with this version.
Sky Go App doesn't work either. Both of these apps state the device isn't compatible.
I have a United Arab Emirates model running 4.4.2 and Samsung confirmed the Serial Number as genuine, but have referred me to the supplier to get the errors fixed.

Also, emails do not work properly. Gmail, Outlook.com and the Email Client that comes with the software all fail to retrieve. No errors come up and as I manage about 10 email accounts, I'm confident all the settings are correct. I return to my laptop or desktop and have no problems therefore this is a real pain as I cannot manage my emails whilst on the move. Not to mention I cannot use the other two apps that I used to use quite a lot.

I just ordered mine from a site called Woot, got the white one cause the black was out of stock. Just the day before I had the Tab 4 10.1 ordered through Amazon. My bro-in-law, let me know about Woot, and even though it was $170 more than the 4 10.1, it is worth it. I also ordered a tempered glass screen protector, otterbox defender, 128gb micro SD, and the micro USB to USB dongle... It will be the most awesome piece of tech I have bought in a while. After messing with them at Best Buy, figure I will use Apex Pro launcher to make my experience a little better. Magazine UI kind of not my cup of tea. Got apex pro on my S3 and I love it. So I will probably do something similar with the set up!

I just got Note Pro 12.1 last Thursday. I love this thing. I had a small charging issue but fixed it. Only complaint is I don't like the Samsung cover. Need to find something different.

Please, please, please tell me how to get rid of that content home page of the boxes.. I want my main home page the classic style as well!

Are you talking about the 2 pages with news and events stuff on them? You can't delete them from stock launcher. The best solution is to install Nova Launcher. Totally customizable for home pages, icons, app drawer etc. Awesome Launcher! It makes your device YOUR device. Give it a try. Lots of options, so take some time to try them out. I didn't like it the first time I tried it. Thought it was too busy but the second time I figured out what I was doing and now would never use stock launcher. I've had it for two months and I'm still fine tuning it.

I just got my 32 GB Samsung SM-T900 on 12/21/2014. KITKAT 4.4.2. Video is good. My problem is I cannot write to any SD cards. Cards are good, they work fine in all my other Samsung devices, Galaxy 7" and S4 Phone.

Kitkat did that. Just save document to the internal memory first then transfer (copy&paste) file to the External card with the stock file manager. You also can save videos and files from a PC to the External card using the provided cable.
