In comparison to the HTC One it sure is. Not even close. I still haven't decided which one I will get. I've been using a loaner S 4 for about a week now and Touchwiz is seriously in your face and laggy.

I was just in an AT&T store checking both phones out and most people left with the HTC One. Several said the S4 was "ugly"

Arguing over who wanted what in whatever store is silly. There are a ton of people that like each. Both are great phones, that being the One and the GS4. I say buy both! I did.

Seriously though, I'm happy for both of you. I'd be interested in comparisons and to know if either of you had HTC phones before.

Edited to add: I got the S4. I can give the One points because it looks a little different from all the other smartphones out there. However, I didn't want to get it because I like HTC phones when they first come out, but tend not to like them after about a year. The power management causes issues with battery life. Also, I didn't like that you couldn't really "get rid" of Blinkfeed, you could only opt for no feeds and have a blank screen there. Finally, camera differences don't matter to me.
