Thunderbolt sold 260,000 units in the first two weeks of launch (two weeks, not launch day). It was marketed to hell and back. This phone is not. Do you really think 120,400 units is only to one area? I sure don't.

Nah I'm very excited to get this phone.
Just as bad as anyone else. I even drive my wife crazy about it.
I'm hearing people are able to preorder? Then again I saw Droid life's tweet so. Tomorrow will be either a bust or one heck of a day..

I want to believe you, OP. I do. I'm hoping for an announcement tomorrow but I'm not getting my hopes too high up there. I went through this with the Bionic and we all know how that turned out.

I'm sorry, did I say it was true? Did I say it was only to one area? I'm just quoting Phil..the guy who has inside sources and gets screen captures like these quite frequently.

Surely Verizon won't be the only source available to buy the phone from. Presumably other retailers and chains will be getting them as well. Will Verizon be dividing that 120k among them as well? Or do those retailers get their own orders from Samsung? I'm genuinely asking as I don't know enough about supply chains, distribution, and inventory to make a conclusive analysis on the intricacies of making phones and distributing them. I can only speculate and use whatever knowledge is available to me.

That's a "pre-order" from an Authorized Retailer, not VZW. Therefore it means nothing. In my experience, those stores have just about the same business ethics as the local used car lot. In other words, they will do what they can to separate you from your money any way they can get away with it ....

Calm down, guys. It's not a fake. It's from A Wireless. They don't know when it's coming, but they're taking preorders. They believe it will be out next week.

Premium Retailer does not equal Corporate Store. My understanding is that it's just a glorified authorized dealer that only sells Verizon phones.

They get their own shipments. Verizon doesn't take phones out of their own stock to send to retailers.
