I just bought the phone it is an unlocked international version D802 and didn't get the SIM card installed yet as my old phone sim card isn't compatible. The update happened via a wifi connection.

Maybe it's just an update for LG's software, rather than an android update

you are correct it is a firmware update not an android OS update. I am trying to find out what changes in this version. Usually there are release notes outlining the changes but I can't seem to find them

Sorry folks I made a typo the firmware version I got was D80210C

After receiving the update, a small issue got solved: After disconnecting from a wireless home network, data connection wouldn't reestablish, so I'd have to toggle airplane mode on and off. Now that doesn't happen anymore. Yay for that!

I've got the update as well, it's a firmware update that improves the battery life by eliminating certain bugs, other then that there is no info in the update at all

I got mine last week or the week before.

Not noticed anything yet...but I haven't tested the GPS so not sure if they fixed that.

I've got an unlocked 802, UK, on O2.
