Just received the One UI/Pie update for my S9+ on AT&T

Re: Just received the One UI/Pie update for my S9+ on AT&T

Why would you expect it to say anything about 5g?
Because on the AT&T update, it specifically mentions 5G. You can see in one of the photos posted by the OP. I got the same message on my phone. Haven't noticed if speeds were faster yet.

Really hating the app switcher. I keep swiping horizontally to close apps. It's gonna be a while before swiping up becomes natural.
Download GOODLOCK from the Samsung Galaxy apps store, not Play Store. It will allow you to switch back to the old way if you like it. Also has other services and does not slow down your phone.

I'm working through the update I did yesterday and like it so far. However, the Facebook audio alert is very muted, almost inaudible, since the update. All other app notifications are working properly. Anyone else having this issue?

I have a US Unlocked Galaxy S9 on AT&T so I am interested to see this “5G Enhanced” Bull sh@# and if it makes a lick of difference in speed....

Hopefully me and others with Unlocked units will get the official update soon as I am still running the Beta!
I'm in the process of flashing the AT&T firmware onto my S9+. That will enable me to update to Pie.

I did this earlier this morning with my unlocked T-Mobile Note 9. It's on Pie now.

For both of these phones, Pie is the universal so it contains all the carriers firmwares. This means when you insert an AT&T sim, it boots up into the AT&T firmware. Same with T-Mobile sims, Xfinity Mobile, Sprint and Verizon.

It will only say 5Ge if its available in your area.

Just so I understand you are saying if I take my AT&T SIM out and then reinsert it onto my Unlocked S9 it will then boot up to the AT&T firmware and then it will download the stable Pie update?

It's definitely a downgrade from Oreo. They really chsnged it just for the sake of making it different but it's a downgrade.

Tried it right after installing the Pie update. Nothing in the app about changing the task switcher. Maybe it hasnt been updated for Pie.

I got it last Thursday.

I love it. I just hope the dozens of themes I've purchased get updated to support it. Because right now, they're broken.

That's the way I understood him, and I sincerely doubt this is possible.

This involves flashing carrier firmware, usually with Odin, not just removing and reinserting your sim. If you flash the carrier firmware (best place to go is SamMobile) then yes, when you boot up again it will be as if you bought a carrier phone. Just make sure you're comfortable flashing. Not sure it's worth it. Unlocked will get Pie.
Maybe you already know about flashing. If so, sorry if I misread.

No. Flash the AT&T firmware onto the phone and then run the software update. It will then download Pie.

Yes, this is the correct way to do it.
