Just received the Update

Well, video playback works like before or better. No problem here. Watching Daredevil, mkv format and it is great.

Music plays great too.

I just got mine as well. Looks like the keyboard lag is gone. And everything seem to be working fine. To soon tell though.

Here is the link to the thread about the xoom guys having streaming issues. Their theories are all over the map right now... I'm just hopeful we don't see any of it.

Appears as though they managed to do some tweaks and a few minor fixes. Otherwise I don't see much new. However I did notice that the stretch feature works. I have an old copy of Bejeweled that would run but only took up about 1/6 of the screen. Now that same app fills the screen. That's encouraging. Now if we could just get Netflix.

Still no Netflix love. Crackle crashes or does not display. I also noticed that I am still unable to move apps to the MicroSD card.

Nenamark2 was 18.6 fps before update
Now 19.7 fps under 3.2

Quadrant scored 1537

The circle is weird

a huge +1 here. I preferred the mouse pointer. and, scrolling in the Dolphin for Pad browser was much better before the update.

i think I finally figured out that you have to keep both fingers close together - touching - as you scroll up or down; otherwise, you're stuck zooming in or out rather than scrolling up or down.

What's the circle (at work now and didn't check for the update last night.)

So does anywhere have any release notes of what got changed? This is actually turning out to be quite a minimal patch more than anything.

So from what I gather we got:
Zoom feature on non-tablet apps
A circle instead of a mouse pointer
Minor bug fixes
My ASUS weather widget now lists the last refresh time on it

Anyone know if this firmware update/patch has helped the dock battery issues?

I LOVE the Android robot with the gears spinning when the update is installing!! Any chance someone could make that into a live wallpaper for my Transformer and my Droid X? :D

Doesn't appear to have helped the dock drain issue. The tablet will still wake up by pushing any key. And I'm still losing about 5% per hour when the tablet is docked.

Google lists the following changes in 3.2:

New user features

* Optimizations for a wider range of tablets

Android 3.2 includes a variety of optimizations across the system to ensure a great user experience on a wider range of tablet devices.
* Compatibility zoom for fixed-sized apps

Android 3.2 introduces a new compatibility zoom mode that gives users a new way to view fixed-sized apps on larger devices. The new mode provides a pixel-scaled alternative to the standard UI stretching for apps that are not designed to run on larger screen sizes, such as on tablets. The new mode is accessible to users from a menu icon in the system bar, for apps that need compatibility support.
* Media sync from SD card

On devices that support an SD card, users can now load media files directly from the SD card to apps that use them. A system facility makes the files accessible to apps from the system media store.

New developer features

* Extended API for managing screens support

Android 3.2 introduces extensions to the platform's screen support API to give developers additional ways to manage application UI across the range of Android-powered devices. The API includes new resource qualifiers and new manifest attributes that give you more precise control over how your apps are displayed on different sizes, rather than relying on generalized size categories.

To ensure the best possible display for fixed-sized apps and apps with limited support for various screen sizes, the platform also provides a new zoom compatibility mode that renders the UI on a smaller screen area, then scales it up to fill the space available on the display. For more information about the screen support API and the controls it provides, see the sections below.

Asus has made some other changes like the circle cursor and widget updates.

Asus has stated the dock drain issue is a hardware problem and required RMA of the dock.

Do you know if this drain problem is common to all the original docks? I just haven't noticed a problem in that regard... certainly not anything like 5% per hour.

What app are you using for mkv? I've been using Mobo player but don't like how it doesn't darken the taskbar buttons. Looking for something better. TIA.
