Just rooted my Droid x- what apps should I remove or freeze? What eats the most battery? In addition, what apps should I leave alone as is needed to operate the phone.
Please advise forum friends
thanks

Hi Jay! There are a few good recommendations through out the forum, you may want to check the rooting subforum.

I just rooted about a week ago myself and started out Freezing apps that I know I dont use: Blockbuster, Kindle, etc. Since applications can be unfrozen, you are mostly safe here. Just like a PC, if you are unsure what you are freezing, do a little research on it first. Googling the name should give you all the info you need.

And I am sure some of local Droid Zen Masters here will respond, crazy good community here!!

Pretty much anything you don't want/don't use.

I have Amazon MP3, CityID, 3GMobile Hotspot (FromVZW), Backup Assistant, DLNA Service, Emergency Alert, Home Screen tips, Help Center, Kindle, NFS, Madden, Social Networking crap, Skype, SIM Toolkit are the stuff I have frozen.
