I'm getting slightly less GB per month under the shared plan, but saving a considerable amount on 3 lines. I'm for the shared plans....
My guess is they'll start shipping on the 29th. It goes without saying that these new data plans will be highly unpopular, and drive alot of customers away. However, they'll be able to draw alot of new customers in, because of the confusing nature of wireless and how easy it is to make people think something is good for them. Still, Verizon will want their balance sheets to reflect a boost in overall revenue, and contract renewal. If the phones ship out before the 28th, all those sales and contract renewals go in the Q2 balance sheet, before the switch. But if they ship after the 28th, despite us being able to keep our unlimited data, the sales and renewals still go on the Q3 balance sheet.
This way, despite the change being unpopular and ultimately bad business, their annual report will reflect a sudden uptick in sales and contract renewals immediately after the switch at the beginning of Q3, followed up by a rise in new contracts due to the SGS3 and the Razr HD, which I expect they will announce and launch a month or so after this drops. Then of course along will come the iPhone 5, and as much as many of us may hate it, will spike sales as well. So at the end of the year, despite the customer backlash, Verizon can point to their numbers and make it look like the new plans and forcing the end of unlimited data for contract extensions were a very good move for business.
Of course they'll never admit to that, but think about and it makes sense. For all I know, a VZW executive will read this and wonder how I knew that, haha. Just a hunch.![]()
Except that all the contract renewals will show up as being done beofre the 28th, as your contract was renewed when you pre-ordered, not when you activate.
.......so a safe bet would be after June 21st and before July 9th![]()

Just spent an hour on the phone upgrading my wife's Sprint line to the SGIII... went through numerous reps and eventually to the billing department (had some issues with them placing my order). They're all using the same marketing slogan "Thank you for pre-ordering the Samsung Galaxy S3... The release date is June 21st but we will try our best to make sure it gets to you before anyone else has the chance to see it in stores"
So I'm assuming like what has already been stated is true.. that the phone will ship before it's release date... anywhere from now till June 21st for Sprint customers.
So lets see what Verizon does....![]()
You do realize this is a Verzion forum, not Sprint?!
It really doesn't matter when they ship. By having a pre-order in mid June, they can accrue/recognize the sales in June.

You guys should really be using Chrome with ad blocker![]()

I too, went and PreOrdered on the 6th and 10am. Initially when I tried to enter the "PreOrder" confirmation number, it said that it couldn't be processed at this time. Now, it tells me the same thing as you....."That the order is being processed" and not giving an exact ship date. Interesting!!! Could it be this week?![]()
I hope you are right but mine has been saying that for weeks.

Not with Chrome and Adblock I won't...I'll add more fuel to they hype train. Hit up yahoo.com and you will see a VZW ad showing the SG3 as "The next big thing is here." 6.21.12.
Same here mines said the same since the sixth when I placed my pre order.
