Just received mine in the mail today, and wow, the screen is beautiful. Hoping this can become my daily driver.

I have a 32GB V8-7K en route to my house. I've been using an iPad 2 since the day it was released 3/11/11. Now it is quite laggy with iOS 9 and Safari keeps locking up and closing out. I'm a bit nervous whether I'll get used to the smaller size. I'll have Lollipop 5.0.2 on it when it arrives. Should I have concerns with the 5.1 upgrade? Do the speaker issues still exist with that upgrade?

I know it's been a while, but how do you know the Venue 8 supports Apt-X? I'm trying high and low to find documentation on this, but nothing indicates it does support it.

I also checked my device logfile when pairing it with my apt-X compatible headphones, and there is no mention of Apt-X either.

The V8 is Intel and Apt-X is Qualcomm technology... So can only assume "no". But this is just speculation.

Edit: Asus makes a tablet with Intel Atom processor that supports Apt-X, so disregard the above... Sounds like it is possible.

Quick update: I bought an Avantree Saturn Pro Transmitter/Receiver just to test this, because it has a status LED that indicates the exact Audio Mode used. According to this, the Dell Venue 8 7840 does NOT have apt-X support.
