I was just starting to root using Revolutionary and I got adbwinapi.dll not found and therefore I was unable to root. I downloaded everything and tried to start over and got the same message. What should I do?

I just reinstalled the HTC drivers and revolutionary files and got the same error message again. Looks like I am not rooting until I get it figured out darn it.

Every time I get psyched to root I read a post like yours and come to my senses.

Not to be rude but I'm calling user error here. Rooting is probably the easiest thing you'll do on the phone once you have super user access, if this is tripping you up, go back to square one and read, read, read and trouble shoot. You're missing something in the process, watch the you tube video and follow it step by step, you'll get it.

I was rooting following the youtube video step by step, pausing the video to make sure I was doing exactly what I was supposed to be doing. I momentarily freaked out because, this being my first time rooting, it didn't work. What happened to me was the same exact thing that happens in the video where the revolutionary root window crashed. After it did, I got the adbwin.dll error and then I just powered down the phone, rebooted it and the revolutionary root started working automatically.

Som I am rooted and, using Revolutionary, it was seriously insanely simple and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Root using Revolutionary and you will not regret it. It's very easy and if I hadn't hit a little speed bump, it would have taken less than 10 minutes.
