What type of card readers? I'm assuming it's not readers that require you to insert your card. Is it swipe card readers? It depends on the gas station. Samsung Pay works just fine at the pumps in my community.
I have successfully used it at Walmart multiple times what you need to do is process it as a debit transaction and it should work each timeWal-Mart seems to give me brief when I try to use Samsung Pay and I get an error every time.
If you slide a credit card, Samsung Pay will work.
Where do you live? They're all over here. Many take the chip cards but still have the slide side for cards.Over 10 years since I saw a slide magnetic credit card reader.
I use AP everyday. Works great.

Love Samsung pay! I don't even remember the last time I used plastic. Points are stacking up!
No it will not work at gas pumps because they usually use a mechanical card reader which is different. The gas pump card readers require a physical press and release before the card is read. This is why you have to press in then remove. I've tried a few of the NFC pay options and those also struggle to work with Samsung Pay

I have not tried it, but supposedly there is something called the "Gas Pump Trick" that can work. Essentially you put in your driver's license to trigger that mechanical switch, then hold the phone up to be read.
