Just wondering something

I'm just wondering if the D2 has speak to text on it. My girlfriend is wanting the ally and that has speak to text.

Yes it has it. Its available on all android phones with OS 2.1 and higher.

To add to what DroidXcon, once that is enabled you will see the Speech recognition button on the bottom left of the Keyboard.

Edit: OK so i looked in the Manual and according to the manual it should be there as i described it , let me know what you see in the language and keyboard area so i can further assist you

Can you provide us of a list of exactly what you see?

Set Multi-touch keyboard as the default in the settings and then click on muti touch setting and enable voice to text.

Settings- language and keyboard- input method = multi touch keyboard
Then scroll down to muti touch keyboard settings
Scroll down to voice input and check voice dictation. That is it. Now when the keyboard is up you should see a microphone button on the left side of the space button. Hope that helps
