Hey cats... having been completely offended that Android developers cannot create a decent and functional email client embedded in the OS, I resort back to K9 which I have always found both powerful and flexible. It's amazing how many emails I didn't get after five days away from PC access on my new S3 but sitting at my kitchen table this morning and configuring K9 on my one week old phone, POOF.... all these new emails that I never knew existed.....

So, the one perplexing thing for me with ICS is adding the K9 Account individually on the home screens. Like old versions of Android, you simply long hold the screen, choose <Shortcut>, and then dive into K9-><Account of Choice> and release and your K9 Account XYZ would show as an independent icon on the home screen. I am not a big fan of unified inboxes but honestly, maybe I should join the new millennium...;)

Thanks. Sincerely...

Like Age, I am a big fan of K-9 Mail, however, the stock email seems to work just as well. I don't like putting to many apps that I rarely will use on my phone.
The unified inbox is a bit slow, but it does seem to aggregate emails from my verizon account and gmail account.

Still learning lots of things on my Samsung G3

And for what it's worth... I figured it out. No more APP placement with defined credentials but rather everything seems to be widget based now. So, I found the K9 small 1x1 widget that once placed on a screen, allows you to define the discrete mailbox, etc.

Principalskinner (funny, by the way), I found nothing good about the stock mail client. My issue may be that Yahoo synchs poorly but also, a shared IMAP account using Exchange just had limited controls and may have contention issues. Who knows... all I know is that three years ago I found K9 coming from a blackberry and it has not failed me yet. So I will stick with it. So far, so good. Tomorrow is the real test when my mail traffic comes off of Sunday Hiatus. :)
