Keep G4 or S6 Edge?

I'm returning S6 and getting G4 probably because I have isocell sensor and it is terrible IMHO.

If the g4 has what you said you need and the s6 doesn't then the choice shouldn't be too difficult.

Either keep what you have and make do with it or get what you need.

I think it's a form over function decision. Outside of the fingerprint sensor, I think the G4 has more function but less form compared to the S6. The G4 is utilitarian. The curve does make it more comfortable to hold (compared to the G3 and S6) but the S6 is the looker of the two.

I played with both in the store and went with the G4. For one, I had a G3 and love the screen size. Secondly, I'm spoiled by the pop out battery and extra SD storage. Lastly, the S6 costs more. However, on aesthetics, the S6 is awesome and that screen is brilliant. T-Mo's S6 edge 64GB was $799. G4 was $599 plus a free spare battery and 128GB card. So my decision was easy! Sorry for the length!

I'd rather have a good feeling phone than a looker, but IMO the G4 is the looker too. Leather plus no buttons on the front ruining the used surfaces, molta bene.

Have the gold edge and I got the g4 black leather from Verizon a few days ago. I won't be going back to the edge. Phone just bothered me too much. The fact I can just put on a tempered glass screen protector on the g4 is nice because I hate cases. The edge I always drop because it's no where near as comfortable in the hand and you can't grip it like the g4. Also, I had much lag with the edge, and I've had 3 different edges, 1 returned thinking it was defected and 1 screen shattered. All lagged. I haven't experienced any lag on the g4. Battery actually gets me through the day without having to turn everything off. Only thing the about the s6e I like more is the look and fingerprint scanner but putting a case on it ruins the look and I don't care enough for the fingerprint scanner. Knock is fine for me. Up to you but personally enjoy the g4

I have both as well. Personally I prefer the s6e, but the screen size is a tad small for me.

I feel like i'm the only one who went in the store and reallllly didn't like the way the edge felt in the hand. I instantly knew i wouldn't be getting it and i'd hold out for the g4.

I had the exact same experience. I have never been a fan of Samsung devices. Nothing personal, just not my preference. I had been really wanting something new (coming from a 2013 Moto X) and want sure what I wanted. I had been looking at the Note 4 for awhile, and then the G4 came along. Then I started really coveting the S6 Edge. Today I went in to an AT&T Store and played around with both and the decision was very easy. The G4 is easily the better choice for me.

I don't use Samsung TVs (I use LG) -- Also I don't use smart TVs from anyone. Why pay a boat load of extra $$$ for a Smart TV when my $30 Chromecast makes the TV smart? .

Fully agree, I use a Samsung so called "smart tv". Wish I had never paid extra for that load of garbage. The Chromecast and Roku are great, but better than any of the TV features.

On the phone side, I have not had a chance to hold a G4, but I have played with an edge a few times. From my limited time I find the edge very nice looking, but strange to hold. I have been using Samsung phones and tablets for about two years before that my family used HTC Rezounds. When we upgraded almost two years ago we changed to Samsung because HTC did not offer expandable memory on the NA M7. For the same reason if I was choosing between an edge / S6 or G4 I would go for the G4. But that is me, I travel a lot and don't want to have to pay to download my media to my device. If you don't care about expandable memory, then I would think the main deciding factor would be size.

I personally don't think you can go wrong choosing either phone if you don't really care about the few differences between the phones. Unless you are a big performance benchmark junkie I doubt you will ever see a difference between the phones if you use a launcher like Nova on the phone.
