Question

I preordered iPhone 5, which came in mail on Friday. My wife also got one so I was able to play around with hers, leaving mine unopened and me still with an iPhone 4.
I have to be honest, I was expecting more and am considering waiting for the Galaxy Note 2 coming in October.
So my decision is to keep to iPhone 5?
Return it to AT&T for full refund and allow me to get another phone at upgrade price?
Or I could sell the iPhone 5 and use that money to buy the note 2? (my concern with this option is since I did an upgrade, I won't be able to sell it or I'd have to pull out the sim from the iP 5 so that the next person won't use my #)

Check eBay out and craigslist if its selling above the retail price then you have some thinking to do if you sell it you'll need buy note 2 on ebay or craigslist unless you have more upgrades available. If not then you have the warranty drawbacks if you buy a used phone but I personally have never had any issues buying a used phone. if your in no rush to buy the note 2 about month after I bought my Gs3 I found 1 on eBay for $100 over the subsidized price "new in the box never opened" eBayer selling it "buy it now". If you don't need the extra $ you could make on selling it I would just return it and wait on whatever you want maybe its the next nexus phone should be out b4 the end of the year. just food for thought :D
ask your provider about the sim not sure about at&t

Make sure the Note 2 is what you want before making a decision. I was at Best Buy the other day and looked at the original Note: it is HUGE! I don't think I want a phone that big and I'm a pretty big guy. And I think the Note 2 is bigger (I know the screen is, but don't know about the overall dimensions).

I took a look at the orig Note and I liked it. I can picture myself using it but I still wonder how I would carry it. I would use a bluetooth to answer phone calls and keep it in my left jacket pocket but I wonder how I would handle while wearing jeans (which I don't wear tight)

There a tons and tons of videos on YouTube about the note. Its actually very pocketable. The note 2 isn't going to be as wide but longer. Looks like an s3 on steroids...they just stretched it. Also the note 2 is going to have a 5.5 screen in 16:9 aspect. The og note is 5.3

That's good info, and you're right, it's the width that worries me. I don't wear a suit and tie to work, so I end up carrying my phone in my pocket, and the original Note wasn't a comfortable fit for me. I can handle taller if it's not as wide, so I'll check out the Note 2 when it gets here.

Look on youtube for the note2. Phonedog has a good video on it.

I recently went from a Iphone 4 to the Samsung Galaxy S3. I too was considering the note. In reality when you look at the S3 and the Note 2 the size difference is not all that bad. For me i am glad I got the s3. It fits in my pocket well.

My sister-in-law got the Iphone 5. At first glance I saw no difference between the Iphone 4 and 5. Initially I thought it was her old phone. If android was out and I had the option to upgrade to the Iphone 5 from the Iphone 4, I don't think I would even bother paying the upgrade price.

When i bought the S3, I kept the Iphone around in case I decided to go back. I bought SwiftKey and juice defender and that sealed the deal. I do miss the integration into my car head unit for the Iphone 4 but I learned to work around it. I have never regretted buying the s3 since then. Personally I don't think I will ever go back to apple products. The samsung does so much more than the Iphone.
