Keep track of 3G data outages here for Virgin Mobile

I guess not too many VM employees check Facebook. :eek:

They should probably post a couple memos next time by the watercoolers at Customer Service and the Tech Dept.

Even after they put an announcement on their 800 line, their own people were clueless that anything was going on. The tech dept. decided to send me a new phone. I guess I'll just sent it back and avoid the hassle of reinstalling all my apps.

I had no service in VT from about 1 PM Monday. Came back sometime during the night.
 
Had no data coverage in the south sound area of Washington state for a while. It started last night with a short period of MMS messages not working. Then today I lost all data coverage. Called Virgin about it and they said there was an outage earlier in the day, but it had already been resolved.

Well...obviously not.
 
My 3g went out on May Tuesday evening around 5:00pm and came back on sometime late that night. I turned my phone off before going to sleep that night. When I turned my phone back on the next morning, 3g was back. Central Texas
 
How often does the data outage happen to you guys? I spend a lot of time on wi-fi, so I'm not sure what to expect from VM when I actually need the data when I'm out and about.
 
I'm in Austin, Texas, one of the leading tech hotspots of the world, yet I've been suffering a continual 3G outage since last night. I can't even get a 1x connection. WiFi and Bluetooth are working fine, and voice calls and text messaging are fully functional.

Virgin Mobile's customer service number has been busy for hours, so I guess it's a widespread outage. When I finally got through to a rep -- after a wait of more than 15 minutes -- she didn't have the patience to wait ten seconds while I switched from my Bluetooth headset to speakerphone, and disconnected the call.

After many more redials to get through the busy signal, I'm on hold again -- 8:35 and counting.

Bummer...
 
Just experience a 2 hour outage from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm in Coachella Valley (Southern California). Airplane mode seemed to fix it.
 
Its been off and on the last three days here in Mobile, Al. And it is also bouncing between 1g and 3g a lot too.

I am in San Jose California, I had no data since 7/13. But VM claimed they have no outage and reset my 3G connection. But that didn't solve my problem. Anyone else in Northern California having data issues? Just want to see if there is more than one VM customer in NoCal.

Haven't had anything but 1g in Springfield, MO since it came back on after the outage a couple of days ago.
