Great advice. I'm in Michigan (Lansing and Detroit area) and I've been without data completely since 8/17--just calls and texts, and those are often delayed too. I've emailed them this info and they responded: "We just opened an internal investigation with the information you provided and assigned it to our specialist department" and "We assure you that you will have no further problems once our specialist department provides a resolution."
Nope, still nothing after that. So I called about four days ago, and they said they're escalating it to corporate and will email me to let me know what happens. (I had to request to be emailed to be updated.) She said I'll know if my phone has been fixed "if it starts working again", and if it doesn't there's nothing they can do, as that's their highest department. I called again tonight and asked if there was any new info and of course there wasn't.
Can't wait til the morning to call them back and ask for a plan reset. ARGH!!!
