Keeping Unlimited Data with only 1 phone on plan

It's gotten so cumbersome to keep unlmtd data and get subsidized phones but verizon's coverage for data and voice is just too good for me to consider switching carrier..

Use there new device payment program it will let you keep your unlimited data

You pay full retail on their payment program PLUS an additional $2/mo service charge.

Yes but you it will let keep unlimited data if you use that way instead of a two year contract

Buy it full retail from Best Buy using their interest free credit card and save yourself the $2/mo. $2/mo = $24/yr, so if you pay it off over 1 year, you pay an extra $24 for the phone if you buy through Verizon. If you buy through Best Buy and pay it off in 18 months, you pay no interest.

You have to factor in that Best Buy no longer price match out of contract phones with other retailers... Verizon's monthly fee may not be a bad option for those that want to spread out the cost.

Best Buy - Note 2 = $799.99
Verizon - Note 2 = $699.99

Buying full price is not considered contract phone pricing as aren't signing a contract. That said, pm at best buy is always ymmv

Best buy has 18 months no interest financing free, compared to Verizon which charges a monthly fee fir 12 months. Best buy also offers insurance at $7 if paid 2 years in advance, with no deductible and unlimited claims, but doesn't cover against loss or theft. Verizon does cover these but has a $100 deductible and 2 claim limit per year
