That doesn't answer how you cut the larger card down to fit without destroying important data on it. Is it that obvious when you have the two cards side by side?

BTW, I was at Best Buy today. The Samsung rep said the Note 3, 4, 5 Sim cards were all the same size. I guess he was wrong.

Sorry, I mentioned using a SIM cutter to cut the larger micro-SIM into a nano size SIM.
If one is going back the other way one would use an adapter so a nano-SIM works in a micro-SIM device

Yes, the BB rep was wrong. The Note 5 uses a nano-SIM. Look in the TECHNOLOGY section of this spec list for the Note 5 for confirmation of the origianl statement.
