Kenwood DDX9903s and Android Auto

Do the Kenwood models really not have the dark mode feature that Pioneer models do? I had a Pioneer model before but it's fairly disappointing that I can't go into dark mode automatically (headlights-triggered) for night time driving.

If there's a way to force dark mode, does anyone know how to do that? Having all that white in Maps displaying at night is tough on the eyes.

My ddx9902s has the option but, Most car stereo shops do not hook it up.
