For the past few weeks, the Kernel (Android OS) and Android System have been causing severe battery drain on my device, even when it's not awake. Turning on battery saver cuts down on the Android System drain, but not too significantly. My phone is less than a year old, too.

I haven't been able to find any help on how to alleviate the issue. Can someone help me out?

First, what are your Location settings? If switched on, is it set to High Accuracy? If by any chance it is, try switching Location off diagnostically.

Sorry for the super late reply!

Even with location turned off, the drain is significant.

Okay. How about backups of one sort or another? Also, any security apps doing scans?
