Kernel, Android System and Media server battery drain.

Hi,
the GSAM app on my HTC ONE M8 says that my app usage is higher than my screen and three of the main battery drainers are: Kernel (Android OS), Android System and System (Mediaserver).

I use my phone properly, charge it very well and have had 4 android phones. None were like this.
I have the latest firmware for the M8 (4.4.4).
My screen on time is not that good now, around 2-3 hours but when I first got the phone (3 months ago) it was 4-5 hours.

How do I reduce those 3 apps to make it last longer?

Having the exact same issue after updating to 4.4.4. Considerably less battery life with those things taking up the majority of power!

short of a hard reset there isnt really a way to fix that problem.
my Note 3 was having issues after its most recent update and after i hard reset it and re-loaded all my stuff its back to its original awesome ness.

you may try to wipe the cache partition and test that for a few days.. after every update i wipe cache and my M8 seems to be running just fine.

On the advice of someone else in another thread a cache partition wipe seems to have sorted the problem!
