Anybody else have this problem? I just got this phone three days ago and the kevlar seems to be releasing right in the middle by the Motorola logo. The edges are fine but if you press in the middle, it kind of "gives" like the glue has released. I hate to exchange the phone cause I haven't had the issues alot of users have had with ics. But I don't want the kevlar to come off the back either.

I never noticed this before when i first got my phone and then I had began noticing it so I ordered a replacement. The replacement does it too so I'm thinking that its normal. It doesn't always happen but only sometimes do I feel it. Unless you can actually see it bubbling up than no big deal.

I saw the back of mine when I first got the phone.... admired the Kevlar back...noticed the slight bubble around logo...shrugged and stuck it in a curzerlite tpu case...haven't thought about it since.

Mine is not doing any of this. Are you leaving it in hot places? Like your car?

It has been in the house since I got it. Apparently it was like this when it came out of the box. Maybe it will lay down with time. I will be carrying it without a case so I am depending on the kevlar to do its job. We'll see. Fingers crossed.

Just stating the obvious here but there is a plastic cover on the back of the phone when you get it that can be peeled off. That's not what you're talking about right?

No, the plastic backing has already been removed. Good idea, though. It wouldn't be the first time I made a dumb mistake. Ask the wife.

Hahaha that would have been something else.

It is brand new. Other than some slight occasional lag, it runs great. I would hate to exchange it for a new phone and the new phone be plagued with issues. That's generally my luck.

I seriously considered it, but with so many people having software issues, I'm afraid the replacement would give me bigger issues than the kevlar coming loose. Apparently, the kevlar issue is common with alot of razr maxx phones so the replacement very well may be the same way. If I could get a jelly bean update, I could deal with the kevlar. I may check a new maxx out at my local best buy if they have one. If the kevlar is good to go, I may go ahead and swap it out and hope for the best.

What I meant was that I could overlook the kevlar defect if a software update were to come along. It would be nice if someone made replacement panels for the kevlar area. Maybe something f you could design yourself with a pic or your own design.
