First off id like to say that I love swype but I find myself using swype and just tapping about equal. Iv read that there are many keybored apps available in the market that are better than the stock keyboard. With these apps, am I able to use swype?

No, Swype is its own input method. The other keyboard apps are alternative input methods that you'd have to swap to in place of Swype.

swiftkey is hands down the best tap typing keyboard and IMHO it is much faster than swype once you have been typing for atleast a week. It pretty much predicts 90% of your next words.
