Keyboard hidden behind floating Windows

Is there any way, preferably not involving root, to make my onscreen keyboard show up in front of floating Windows? I love the feature, but if I have to use an app that doesn't support side by side multi window, it makes it difficult to use the onscreen keyboard.

If I have a floating window like Browser open and tap in a text field, the keyboard comes up and the window shrinks to accommodate it. Like the bottom goes up and the window is half size until I dismiss the keyboard.
It that what yours is doing?
