Nope. It's giving you the opportunity to change your input method, for instance changing from stock to swype or whatever other keyboard you have installed. So any time an app is looking for text input (whether it's fronted or not) that icon will be there. If nothing is waiting for text,it won't appear.
And your point is? He wants the icon gone, that does it. I have them all disabled bc I only use the stock keyboard. Not all of us want to use alternative methods. Did I not answer the question he was asking?
