Keyboard issues after recent update?

I have been noticing this same issue after the update. However, I have also been noticing that when I scroll through my screens, they aren't as fluid and snappy as others have said theirs are. My whole phone overall seems slower since the update. Really disappointed so far.

I am on Fresh's version of the new OTA and noticed this too. I thought it was me, but I feel better now knowing its not.
HTC MIME even feels a little different. I see both of them lag in browsers most off, but weird prediction mistakes and random weirdness is what I see

i actually just started using the droid x froyo keybpoard, and i can tell you this, its alot quicker typing with it and the touch response is instant, barely ever make typos anymore cause there is actually some spacing between the keys, if anyone is interested heres the link

I had the same problem after the update, but I found that turning off spell correction fixed the issues for me with the stock keyboard.

Had Swype installed, did not work after the OTA update, ended up uninstalling and re-installing. Functions fine now.

But...then that makes a whole NEW issue. You are now missing spell correction! :\

I was never happy with the stock keyboard, switched to Swype, then switched to SwiftKey after a Swype update fouled up their own app. If you want to peck rather than drag your fingers, SwiftKey might work for you (I'm content with it, though not as pleased as I initially was with Swype).

One more thing, at the risk of sounding like your mother or your conscience; have you considered doing a factory reset? That solved a number of problems for me after the Froyo update.
